Cherry Creek State Park is one of 42 parks that are part of Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW). The 4,227-acre park in Aurora is located within minutes of southeastern Denver.
There are 22 trails throughout the park. The 40-mile Cherry Creek Trail runs through the park. The trail starts in Denver and ends in Franktown. The park contains close to 5-miles of the Cherry Creek Trail.
This park features a swim beach, playground, marina, model airfield, campground and stable (private).
There is an admission fee (per car) for park entry. Campsites can be reserved online.
