Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs
Garden of the Gods

Welcome

Our Fun Pass was inspired by a camping trip where the tent almost blew away, car smores were invented, and we ended up in a different state. Now four years later, we continue to post photographs, share stories, and find awesome free (and cheap) things to do.

Center for Colorado Women’s History – Denver

We were able to get free tickets through the Arapahoe Library Explore Colorado Program for the Museum. There was an add-on option for $5/person of a guided tour. The Votes and Dreams exhibit was educational and inspiring. The tour brought the time period, building, and people to life.

Rocky Mountain National Park – Grand Lake

We took a trip to Granby for a 5 day camping trip. I had never been to the West side of RMNP. Grand Lake felt so welcoming while being surrounded by beauty in a community of friendly people.

Free Tour at the Denver Capitol Building

I have been eyeing this tour for just about as long as I have been in Colorado. Finally, we went on a tour to the dome of the Capitol Building, which was not only informative but also beautiful.

Return of the Corn Mothers in Parker, Colorado

It was the last day of the Return of the Corn Mothers at the PACE Center. Prior to the exhibit, I had never heard of the term Corn Mothers. The photography and storytelling brought me into a world that I didn’t know existed.

Slemmer Ranch Barn in Parker, Colorado

The warm weather has arrived. This Barn is at Iron Horse Park near Iron Horse Elementary. It is one of my many favorite places to walk to to sit, paint, and spend time outdoors.
